Harbeth loudspeakers 'In your words' featuring Rico Van Rosengarten

First of all this is my hifi loudspeaker set up and it contains the following components:Harbeth M30.2 40th Anniversary loudspeakers standing on Atacama SLI stands, connected with Tellurium Q black 2 cables to the PrimaLuna Dialogue premium integrated amp with the KT120 tubes Marantz sa11s3 sacd player/DAC. Interlink is also from Tellurium Q ''the ultra black'' and a Bluesound Node 2 streamer that is connected with a Reference Audio 40 dig coax to the DAC from Marantz SA-11S3.

The last few years I have become more and more interested in Harbeth loudspeaker and wondered what all the fuss was about. When I got the chance to listen to a set of little P3ESR loudspeakers I knew why. That's when I knew my next set of speaker had to be Harbeths.

2017 began with the announcement of Harbeth loudspeakers 40th Anniversary models; the SHL5plus and the M40.2 in walnut...I knew if I brought Harbeth speakers that it would be an Anniversary models, with their beautiful veneers and upgrades. After another few upgrades in my set in the meantime, there was the annoucement later this year of the next gen Harbeth M30.2 40th Anniversary loudspeaker in a beautiful silver eucalyptus veneer. I knew these M30.2 speakers were the Harbeths I wanted to have and I ordered them right after the announcement, on the spot, at my local dealer without even seeing or hearing them. My dealer told me that I got the first set of M30.2s speakers in Europe...and I'm glad I did.

In that silver eucalyptus veneer, the next-gen WBT connections, other internal filters and cables all make an already great speaker a better one. Especially with the PrimaLuna - it's a match made in heaven.

More musical, more refined, more insight in the recordings, extended natural highs and lows and a midrange and stereo image to die for. Do I need to say more?

Like a supercara they do need a maybe a little more attention in form, or a example the match making department, or even with placement with the stands to get the best of them, but when everything in your set is in balance and dialled in, you are in for a treat.

I am very happy and I can't wait to get a nice turntable to bring my vinyl collection alive again. Nice job Alan, you have a very happy customer.

Greetings from the Netherlands

Kinds reagrds,

Rico Van Rosengarten.
